As mentioned above Custom recovery refers to the third-party recovery environments.ClockworkMod (CWM) and Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) are two popular custom recoveries. How To Flash TWRP recovery via Samsung Odin
- Download latest Odin Zip file and install it on your Windows-computer
- Install Latest Samsung USB driver on the computer
- Download the Odin flashable TWRP file for your device on your computer
- Put your device on USB debugging mode
- Then, boot your device into download mode and connect it to the computer over a USB cable
- Launch Odin application
- Odin will detect your device and notify you in ID: COM area
- Select AP or PDA and place the TWRP file
- Make sure to uncheck the “Re-partition” under the option and Check “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time”
- Now, Click the “Start” button to start the flashing process
- Finally, you will get a “Pass” message when the process is completed
